Mystery drones spook Danish airports, cops, and PET clueless

Unidentified aircraft disrupted operations at four Danish aviation facilities Thursday evening. Aalborg airport suspended all activities for multiple hours while authorities tracked the aerial vehicles across northern and southern regions. The remaining locations at Esbjerg, Sonderborg, and Skrydstrup military base maintained normal schedules due to minimal flight activity during overnight hours.

Law enforcement agencies failed to intercept the illuminated devices or identify their operators despite coordinated efforts. The aircraft displayed visible lighting systems and covered extensive territory before departing voluntarily after several hours of surveillance. Danish intelligence services collaborate with military personnel to determine the source and purpose behind these unauthorized flights.

Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen previously characterized similar incidents as severe threats to national infrastructure following recent disruptions at Copenhagen airport.
