Phison CEO Khein-Seng Pua has confirmed that NAND flash pricing has surged approximately 100 percent during the previous six months, with one terabit TLC NAND climbing from $4.80 in July 2025 to $10.70 in November 2025. The executive attributes the shortage to accelerated AI infrastructure deployment, which has exhausted supply chain inventory and redirected manufacturing investment toward high-bandwidth memory products since 2023. Pua anticipates that the constrained supply environment could extend through the current decade, as new fabrication facilities will not commence operations until 2027.
The controller manufacturer reported third-quarter 2025 revenues increased roughly 30 percent year over year, with October sales jumping approximately 90 percent compared to the prior year period, largely driven by a 280 percent rise in SSD controller shipments. Management has pivoted toward enterprise and industrial clients while reducing retail allocations, targeting enterprise SSDs to represent 20 to 30 percent of total revenue by 2026. Phison secured most of its 2026 NAND allocations during mid-2025 and established multi-year supply agreements with six vendors extending through 2026.
