NCP to Boycott National Election if July Charter Recommendations Not Implemented

National Citizen Party leader Nahid Islam refuses to join the upcoming national election without major changes first. The former government adviser made his bold statement after visiting a martyr's grave in Nilphamari on Thursday. Islam demands the July Charter must become reality before his party steps into any voting booth. His political group led massive street protests that toppled the previous government last year. The party chief warns that old corrupt forces still lurk behind the scenes planning their comeback.

Islam kicked off a nationwide Road March campaign from northern Bangladesh to wake up citizens across the country. The student movement coordinator believes dangerous fascist elements remain active despite their government's dramatic fall. His marchers plan to spread awareness about creeping authoritarianism that threatens the new democratic order. The political activist urges supporters to keep fighting until their reform goals become permanent fixtures. Party workers must stay alert because enemies of change continue plotting against the state.

Professor Ali Riaz leads the National Consensus Commission and feels optimistic about finalizing the historic July Charter document. Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus promised that reformed Bangladesh would follow the charter's democratic principles. The commission races against time to complete their reform blueprint before voters head to polling stations. Election officials scheduled the national vote for one week before Ramadan starts in February. Political parties must sign the charter and pledge to implement sweeping changes that will reshape the nation's future.
