Ali Riaz hopes to nail down the July charter by mid-July

Professor Dr Ali Riaz thinks political parties can agree on the July Charter before the month ends. The National Consensus Commission Vice-Chair spoke Wednesday at the Foreign Service Academy during fresh talks with party leaders. He told everyone that Bangladesh made huge progress over the past twelve months despite facing major roadblocks. Riaz admitted the journey had ups and downs that sometimes left people feeling disappointed. He believes hard work can help everyone reach their charter goals very soon.

The professor wants Bangladesh to build a completely new government system that protects people's rights. He dreams of creating a country where citizens never face forced disappearances or illegal killings. Riaz stressed that democratic freedoms must stay safe under any future leadership. The commission leader said all political groups contributed to recent successes regardless of their party colors. He warned that people cannot become lazy about protecting the changes they fought hard to achieve.

Riaz remembered friends and family members who died during the July protests that shook the nation. Many survivors still fight for their lives after getting badly hurt during the uprising. He thanked party representatives for working together despite their different political beliefs. The professor praised everyone for showing real commitment to making Bangladesh better for ordinary citizens. Political leaders and commission members attended the important meeting about the country's future direction.
