NDC Mutiny over Tainted DCE Pick and Arson Attack

Some NDC party members from Talensi Constituency have come out against John Millim Naabwomya becoming District Chief Executive. They believe he maintains close connections with the opposition NPP party. The group fears these ties might harm NDC's chances in future elections. President Mahama announced the nomination last Friday. Shortly afterward, someone apparently set fire to the local NDC office.

Charles King Luu spoke for unhappy party members at a Sunday press conference in Tongo. He asked President Mahama to cancel the nomination right away. The group worries about keeping party unity strong. Local support remains important for party success. The announcement happened on April 11, just two days before the press event. These members want someone else who shows clear loyalty to their party values.
