Netanyahu Calls Iran Evil Regime After Missile Strikes Hit Israeli Institute

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu toured a damaged research center on Friday after Iranian missiles destroyed two buildings there. He called Iran an evil regime during his visit to the Weizmann Institute of Science near Tel Aviv. The famous research facility studies cancer, heart disease, and brain disorders but suffered over $500 million in damage from the recent attack. Scientists lost decades of stored samples and thousands of hours of research work that cannot be replaced.

Netanyahu said Iran wants to stop human progress and has oppressed its people for almost 50 years. He believes Israel must prevent Iran from building nuclear weapons to protect itself and other countries. The prime minister promised to make Iranian leaders pay a full price for their actions. Iranian missiles also hit the biggest hospital in southern Israel during the same wave of attacks.

European Union and British officials met with Iranian representatives on Friday to discuss the growing crisis. President Donald Trump gave both countries 14 days to decide about possible American military help for Israel. French officials want Iran to permanently stop developing nuclear weapons and long-range missiles. The conflict centers around Iran's nuclear program and threatens to spread across the Middle East region.
