Iran Missile Strikes Israeli Hospital as Tensions Escalate

An Iranian missile struck a major hospital in southern Israel today. The weapon hit Soroka Medical Centre in Be'er Sheva and hurt several people. Iran's military said they aimed for nearby intelligence offices but missed their target. The hospital has more than 1,000 beds and serves thousands of patients. Israeli leaders called the attack a war crime against civilians.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu promised to hit back hard against Iran. His deputy foreign minister said Iran deliberately targeted innocent people at the medical facility. Israeli forces quickly launched air attacks on Iranian nuclear sites. They bombed the Arak reactor and weapons labs in Natanz. Military officials said these strikes damaged key nuclear equipment.

Other Iranian missiles also hit apartment buildings in Tel Aviv and struck populated neighborhoods. Israeli hospitals had already moved sick patients to underground shelters earlier this week. Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said Israel would target more Iranian government buildings. Iran evacuated workers from the Arak nuclear plant before Israeli jets arrived and reported no radiation leaks.
