A newly constructed civil registry facility in Hwedza has reached completion and will begin providing government services to residents in the coming period. The building will handle passport applications, birth certificates and death registration after its formal commissioning takes place.
District development coordinator Admire Dhliwayo expressed appreciation for relocating these administrative functions closer to residents who previously traveled to Marondera or Harare for such services. Staff members have already moved into the facility across from the Public Works Office to prepare for operations.
The modernized complex features digital security systems, multiple service counters and improved accessibility accommodations designed to enhance efficiency for Hwedza District residents seeking identification documents and related government services.
