NIA nabs Amir Ali in Red Fort blast probe

The National Investigation Agency has arrested a Kashmiri man in connection with the vehicle bomb attack near the Red Fort. Amir Rashid Ali, whose name appeared on registration documents for the explosive-laden automobile, was apprehended following extensive search operations across multiple states.

Investigators determined that Ali traveled from his home in Samboora, Pampore, to help acquire the vehicle that became a mobile explosive device. He allegedly worked with Umar Un Nabi, an assistant professor of general medicine at Al Falah University in Faridabad, whose forensic analysis confirmed died while driving the rigged automobile during the attack.

The agency has questioned 73 witnesses and examined a second vehicle owned by Nabi while coordinating with police forces from Delhi, Jammu and Kashmir, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh to trace additional conspirators.
