Nick Mangwana backs TopSoup4ED row in Zimbabwe

A Zimbabwean critic has condemned the TopSoup4ED initiative as morally degrading, arguing that it exploits women while claiming to promote President Emmerson Mnangagwa's Vision 2030 development plan. The detractor noted that soup serves as street vernacular in Zimbabwe for female genitalia, making the campaign's name deeply inappropriate for association with the nation's highest office.

The commentary accused the movement of reducing women to propaganda tools rather than genuinely empowering them, framing the effort as an attempt to distract from governance failures through vulgar patriotic theater. Particular criticism targeted government spokesman Nick Mangwana for repeatedly promoting the campaign on social media platforms.

The observer characterized the situation as evidence of moral deterioration within Zimbabwe's leadership, suggesting that when officials normalize indecency for political purposes, it signals the collapse of national values and public standards.
