Nicki Minaj’s mansion on the chopping block

Rapper Nicki Minaj and her spouse, Kenneth Petty, face potential foreclosure on their Los Angeles property after a judge signaled approval for a forced sale to satisfy an unpaid judgment exceeding half a million dollars. The debt stems from a backstage assault lawsuit filed by German security professional Thomas Weidenmuller, who sustained catastrophic facial trauma requiring extended hospitalization and repeated reconstructive procedures that left him with multiple metal plates and donor bone grafts.

The couple never contested the legal action, resulting in a default verdict awarding Weidenmuller more than $503,000 in damages. Standard collection efforts have proven unsuccessful, prompting the plaintiff to petition Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Cindy Pánuco for authorization to liquidate the entertainment power couple's mansion valued at $20 million.

The judge indicated a strong inclination toward granting the request during a recent hearing, awaiting only mortgage documentation from Bank of America before issuing a final determination at a January session.
