Nicki Minaj resurfaces sex assault claims against Charlamagne

Radio host Charlamagne tha God criticized Nicki Minaj on Thursday morning, awarding her the Donkey of the Day for her recent social media activity. He characterized her online disputes as harmful and rejected her accusations that he participated in occult practices against her. The host stated that Minaj achieved commercial success and was not blackballed from the industry.

Minaj responded by sharing details from a 2001 case that involved Charlamagne and Jessica Reid. Reid accused him of sexual assault at a South Carolina party, but authorities never secured a conviction on rape charges. Charlamagne pleaded guilty to contributing to the delinquency of a minor for providing alcohol to underage individuals and served three years of probation.

Reid filed a civil lawsuit in later years, but a New York judge dismissed her claims in 2024 because the statute of limitations had expired. The court also rejected her defamation allegations against Charlamagne. He has consistently denied sexual assault accusations and stated that DNA evidence did not connect him to the alleged crime.
