Nicki Minaj's political pivot, deportation petition hits 35K

An online petition to deport Nicki Minaj just hit a major milestone. The campaign on Change.org passed thirty-five thousand signatures, demanding that the rapper be sent back to Trinidad. This surge followed her recent political appearance at a conservative event where she praised figures like Trump and JD Vance, and discussed advocating for Christians in Nigeria. The petition criticizes her erratic behavior, celebrity feuds, and her marriage to registered sex offender Kenneth Petty.

Critics call her political transformation a dangerous shift, arguing her influence is now negative. Nicki Minaj has not directly addressed the petition. She did dismiss what she called fake news during her speech, showing no concern about efforts to silence her. The rapper remains a permanent U.S. resident after moving from Trinidad as a child. Whether her fanbase can counter this campaign is unclear, but the online pressure is steadily increasing.
