Nikolozi Updates Mela to v6.1 - Introducing Collection 4

Nikolozi launched Mela 6.1, an update to its modular AUv3 plug-in for iOS and macOS. The new version adds Collection 4, a set of modules for advanced sound design.

The Sublane module is Collection 4's main feature. It allows nested processing for flexible signal routing. MIDI Delay and Note Pulse modules provide temporal and rhythmic control over MIDI.

The delay and Feedback modules enable custom multi-tap delays, comb filters, and physical modeling effects. Vel-to-Amp maps MIDI velocity to amplitude and note-to-pitch converts MIDI notes into a pitch signal.

Collection 4 will expand with each Mela 6.x update. Users only need to purchase it once.

Other improvements include an updated Getting Started guide with native text rendering and a popover view. Modules can be moved between lanes and into Sublanes more easily using drag-and-drop. Empty lanes are taller to match lanes with modules.

Duplicated modules copy the UI state and base their names on the source module. Presets save the active Modulator or Targets view. Pop-up list buttons have a new style.

The Perform view no longer shrinks unnecessarily with the Preset Browser open. New factory presets demonstrate the Delay, Feedback, and MIDI Delay modules.

The default synth preset was tweaked. The Init preset is a truly blank slate.
