No Arrests After Yelewata Massacre Lecturer Rages

Dr John Ogi teaches at Moses Orshio Adasu University in Makurdi. He worries about the lack of arrests after the Yelewata community attack that killed over 200 people. President Bola Tinubu visited Benue State Wednesday and asked why police had not caught anyone. The university lecturer posted his concerns on Facebook after the presidential meeting. He saw many security officers around Makurdi but no suspects were arrested.

Ogi questions what officials know about who caused the killings or paid for them. He wants to see real action instead of just meetings and conversations. The lecturer asks if the presidential visit will start proper investigations or just mark the end of discussions. He wonders why a president must visit before security forces do their jobs properly. Ogi points out that these attacks have happened for a long time before this presidential trip.
