North Will Call the Shots for Next Nigerian President

Dr. Hakeem Baba-Ahmed says nobody becomes president without northern support. He told viewers this during an online interview with Professor Usman Yusuf. The former adviser to President Tinubu recently quit his job as Special Adviser on Political Matters. He claims the North will announce its political plans for the 2027 elections within six months. Northern leaders plan to make their intentions clear rather than keeping them secret.

Baba-Ahmed discusses how northern communities suffered during the Boko Haram attacks. The region wants leaders who understand its problems, and northern people need officials ready to fix these issues. He warns against attempts to manipulate election results, as such actions might create problems for the entire country.

Northern voters have become more politically aware than before. They refuse to fall for empty campaign promises. All groups across the North pay attention to national politics. Baba-Ahmed believes fairness must guide leadership selection. Politicians should treat Northern interests seriously as 2027 approaches. The region holds enough power to change election outcomes.
