Nujoma Body Procession Sparks Wild Farewell in Hardap

People who live in the Hardap and //Kharas areas want to say goodbye to Sam Nujoma. They wait for his body to arrive.

A special service will happen at J Stephanus Stadium in Keetmanshoop on Wednesday. The //Kharas governor's office changed the time for the ceremony.

Governor Aletha Frederick said Nujoma's body would arrive at Keetmanshoop Airport at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday. The service at J Stephanus Stadium in Tseiblaagte will start around 11:30.

Frederick said buses will bring people from places like Berseba, Tses, and Gainachas, helping them come and say goodbye.

Deputy Prime Minister John Mutorwa will attend for President Nangolo Mbumba as the main mourner.

A plane will carry Nujoma's body from Walvis Bay Airport to Keetmanshoop Airport. From the airport, people will walk with the coffin through town. They will go along the main road, Hampi Plichta Street, then Sam Nujoma Avenue, Bernadus Swartbooi Avenue, Tseib Avenue, D Luiperd Avenue, and finally to the stadium.
