Nun Eva Zhorizho humiliates 4,500 MSU graduates

Catholic nun Eva Zhorizho collected 11 awards at the Midlands State University graduation ceremony held on Sept. 11 in Kwekwe after earning first class honors in a Bachelor of Education Dual Honours Degree in Humanities. President Emmerson Mnangagwa presented the accolades to the teacher from Visitation Makumbe High School in Domboshava, and she credited divine grace for the achievement. The Little Children of Our Blessed Lady Sisters member received recognition as the best student in the Faculty of Education, and prizes from sponsors provided full master's degree funding at MSU.

Zhorizho grew up in Chitomborwizi farming area within Makonde and Zvimba districts before attending Matoranjera Primary and secondary schools. The congregation founded by Archbishop Aston Chichester in 1932 focuses on empowering women through education, and the awards demonstrated dedication to academic excellence before more than 4,500 graduates.
