NVIDIA extends Game Ready driver support for Maxwell, Pascal, and Volta GPUs to October 2025

NVIDIA announces extended support timelines for older graphics processing units across multiple architecture generations. The company will deliver final Game Ready Drivers for Maxwell, Pascal, and Volta-based GeForce and Quadro cards through October 2025. Security patches will continue quarterly through October 2028, providing three additional years of protection. This support schedule spans up to eleven years, exceeding standard industry practices. The plan affects graphics cards from the GTX 700 series through various product lines.

Windows 10 users receive extended Game Ready Driver access for all RTX graphics cards until October 2026. This extension provides one year beyond the operating system's planned end-of-life date. Day-zero game optimizations will remain available throughout this period. The Maxwell architecture debuted with GTX 750 and GTX 750 Ti models before expanding to the complete 900 series lineup. Pascal architecture powered the popular GeForce 10 series, while Volta appeared only in the prosumer Titan V model.
