NUP Chief Mobilizer Nyanzi Ssentamu blasted his son James Church Hill for posing with President Museveni at Makerere University. The photo was taken on Tuesday during the Research and Innovation Week, where Museveni showed up as the chief guest. As guild president, Church Hill had to welcome the president and snap pictures with him after the event. Social media went crazy, with users attacking Church Hill for cozying up to his family's "tormentor"—some even calling him a "government project."

He ranted that Museveni is a murderer with blood-stained hands who tried to kill him recently and targeted his brother Kyagulanyi (Bobi Wine). Nyanzi claimed Museveni's agents planned to use the photo to blackmail the Ssentamu family. He demanded that his son apologize to all Ugandans or quit as guild president. "You indeed ran as an independent, but you're our son. The world expects much from you. Do what's right, change that image, and say sorry to Ugandans. If this feels like too much, just resign and focus on your studies," Nyanzi insisted.
