Oberheim has released a firmware update for the TEO-5 synthesizer, adding Poly Chain functionality to merge two units into a single 10-voice instrument with synchronized controls. The update also introduces ten new arpeggiator modes, including Spiral and Leapfrog patterns that create complex melodic sequences.
A Whiplash timing feature maintains consistent rhythmic cycle lengths regardless of note count, while violet noise generation emphasizes high frequencies for bright sonic textures.
