Ogun First Lady Bamidele Abiodun holds birthday party in a jail

Ogun State's Commissioner for Women Affairs praised the governor's wife during birthday festivities at a youth detention facility. Adijat Adeleye highlighted Mrs Bamidele Abiodun's advocacy work for vulnerable populations through policy initiatives and community programs. The celebration took place at the Juvenile Correctional Centre in Asero, Abeokuta, where the first lady chose to mark her special day with disadvantaged children. Adeleye emphasized how Mrs Abiodun consistently champions women's rights and child welfare through her Ajose Foundation. The commissioner noted that such actions demonstrate a genuine commitment to society's most marginalized members.

Several government officials attended the event and delivered congratulatory remarks. Deputy Speaker Ajayi Bolanle joined trade adviser Mrs Oluwayemisi Dawodu and other ministry representatives in recognizing the first lady's contributions. These dignitaries commended her support for administration policies targeting women and children with special needs. They encouraged the young residents to maintain ambitious goals while promising continued government protection. Hospital Management Board's permanent secretary, Dr Olayinka Elemide, also participated in the tribute.

Mrs. Abiodun expressed gratitude for the recognition and acknowledged the Women's Affairs Ministry's collaborative efforts. She pledged continued support for initiatives that amplify the voices of children and women across the state. The birthday celebration concluded with donations of food supplies and gifts to the residents of the correctional facility.
