Ogun Gov Splashes N20m on Super Falcons After Smash Win

Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun gave N20 million to Nigeria's Super Falcons after they beat Cameroon. The team won 2-0 during a friendly match at Moshood Abiola Sports Arena on Tuesday. Captain Rasheedat Ajibade scored the first goal from a penalty kick during the 27th minute. She added another goal three minutes before halftime ended. The governor handed out the money after the game finished.

Abiodun also awarded N10 million to Cameroon's Indomitable Lionesses team. The Super Falcons prepare for the 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations tournament. Justine Madugu leads the Nigerian squad as head coach. The team faces Tunisia during their opening match on Sunday, July 6. The game takes place at a stadium located somewhere around Casablanca.
