Ohangwena Cops Exposed for Pocketing Bribes

Police leader Shikongo talked about corrupt officers at a weekend gathering. He told Oshikango locals how some cops broke public trust in Ohangwena. One officer went to jail after taking money for a prisoner's phone. Another tried selling fuel he took from border sellers. Many police officers grabbed fake items to sell them for profit.

Shikongo promised strict action against bad cops and asked people never to give bribes. Officers who break laws face equal punishment as regular citizens. He also said border guards must allow poor families to bring food from Angola. He said taking food hurts those who feed their children.

Rules matter all the time. Oshikango has become a crime spot, and officers need to patrol the streets more often. During his visit, Shikongo promoted 17 police officers. The meeting aimed to help police build better community ties.
