OutKast, Salt-N-Pepa enter Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inducted OutKast and Salt-N-Pepa on Saturday, recognizing their transformative impact on hip-hop and music culture. André 3000 emphasized how the Atlanta duo drew inspiration from their community, including dancers, relationships, and fellow artists who shaped their creative journey. He acknowledged Salt-N-Pepa's pioneering role in opening pathways for subsequent generations of performers.

DJ Spinderella became the first female turntablist honored by the institution. Big Boi led a star-studded performance featuring Doja Cat, Tyler the Creator, J.I.D., Killer Mike, and Janelle Monáe, delivering classics such as ATLiens, Ms. Jackson, B.O.B., and Hey Ya!. Salt-N-Pepa performed their signature tracks Push It, Shoop, Let's Talk About Sex, and What a Man.

The ceremony underscored both groups' enduring influence on the genre and their role in shaping contemporary music.
