The government provided educational support to more than 2.22 crore students through scholarship programs during the previous five years. Minister Ramdas Athawale announced these figures while addressing Parliament members about financial aid initiatives. The Post Matric Scholarship program assisted 2,22,31,139 students from scheduled castes after completing tenth grade. Another 20,340 students received benefits under the Top-Class Education program for advanced studies. These programs target students from scheduled castes, scheduled tribes, other backward classes, and minority communities.
