A church leader asked Nigerians to respect their pastors and government officials during a media event service. Dr Joseph Ushie from the University of Calabar spoke at the journalists' union Thanksgiving program. He said people must pray for leaders instead of fighting against them. These leaders might hold blessings meant for the people who follow them. Church members who disrespect their pastors may miss special gifts God sent through those same pastors.
Dr Ushie worried about money problems spreading across schools and government offices. He read Bible verses about what happens when people steal funds that they should protect. According to his warning, church money must stay safe from greedy hands. Pastors face spirit problems if they touch church cash for the wrong reasons. All leaders will answer to God about how they used their power over others.
