PDP factions set showdown at Wadata Plaza on Tuesday

Tanimu Kabiru Turaki has declared his faction's readiness to confront anyone attempting to disrupt their planned inauguration at Wadata Plaza, stating that those organizing a competing National Executive Committee gathering at the same location no longer belong to the PDP. After meeting with the FCT Police Commissioner, the factional chairman said his National Working Committee elected during the Ibadan convention stands prepared to defend the party while ensuring order remains intact.

Turaki explained that their national convention holds supreme authority over party decisions and has expelled opposing elements. He confirmed the inaugural meeting will proceed at the national secretariat, describing anyone occupying the premises without permission as an interloper. The chairman emphasized his group will access their headquarters to perform official functions, adding they are willing to sacrifice their lives to protect democratic principles while relying on constitutional rights to defend themselves and their property.
