PEFENAP warns Malawi president not to hug DPP crooks

The People's Federation for National Peace and Development called on Malawi to apply election lessons emphasizing citizen authority over political influence. Executive Director Edward Chaka praised the Electoral Commission's leadership during what he described as the nation's most peaceful voting process. Security forces, civil society groups, media organizations and judicial officials contributed to the election's success through coordinated efforts.

Chaka warned the president-elect against compromising with corrupt officials from the Democratic Progressive Party. He stressed that reconciliation must align with constitutional principles rather than accommodating misconduct. The organization highlighted stakeholder cooperation, institutional strength and citizen engagement as factors that ensured electoral credibility and maintained public order throughout the democratic process.
