Perikatan Nasional Deputy Denies Rift or Ouster Plot

Opposition leader Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin dismissed reports about problems within Perikatan Nasional. He rejected claims that party members want to remove Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin from leadership positions. Hamzah told Mingguan Malaysia that critics spread false stories to split the opposition alliance. The deputy leader said he would know first about any removal plans against Muhyiddin. He called the reports meaningless talk from people outside their party.

Hamzah serves as Muhyiddin deputy in both PN and Bersatu parties. He explained that no one could plan leadership changes without talking to him first. Anyone attempting such moves would need to discuss replacement plans with senior officials. The politician described the rumors as silly attempts to create division within their ranks. He blamed outsiders for starting these false stories about internal fighting.

The opposition chief said public interest in PN creates these gossip stories. He believes people discuss their coalition because they see its political strength. Other parties receive less attention because they lack the same potential for growth. Hamzah noted that even party members wonder who starts these rumors. He stressed that he maintains regular contact with Muhyiddin through monthly political meetings.
