Petroleum Importers Limited gave St. John's Hospital in Mzuzu medical supplies worth K15 million. The hospital needed help because it lacked enough resources. PIL General Manager Martin Msimuko said many people live far from health centers. People often die because they cannot reach medical care fast enough. The company wanted to support the hospital through its Corporate Social Responsibility program. They believe St. John's does important work for Mzuzu residents.
Hospital Director Dr. Jessie Chihana thanked PIL for their donation. She called it a timely relief that would help them handle daily operations better. The donated items included IV fluids, antibiotics, diabetes medicine, asthma treatments, and blood pressure medication. These supplies will help the hospital continue serving patients who need care. The donation addresses critical shortages that had been affecting patient services.
