Pioner Steam Next Fest Demo Next Week Madness

Serbian game studio GFA Games announced that players can try Pioner next week. The massively multiplayer online first-person shooter will be available from June 9 to 16 during Steam Next Fest. Players can access the complete prologue, main hub area, Wanderer Pass and five special missions. The demo also features multiplayer activities and a cooperative raid mode. GFA Games plans to release the full game later this year on PC, with console versions coming afterward.

The game takes place on Tartarus, a mysterious Soviet-era island. This post-apocalyptic world spans over 50 square kilometers of open terrain. Players fight against computer enemies and other players through faction missions and hidden dungeons. The game removes traditional health bars and experience levels for more realistic mechanics. High-risk areas called Shadowlands offer intense player battles where teamwork matters most.

Pioner features an alternate Soviet-inspired reality with atmospheric landscapes and unique buildings. Science fiction elements shape the story through complex characters and mysterious artifacts. Players build influence through quests and exploration rather than gaining traditional levels. Higher influence unlocks better merchant items and improved crafting materials.

The game offers many activities from story missions to mini-games like fishing and casino games. Players can join factions that provide different rewards and viewpoints. Weapon customization allows players to modify military gear with special modules. Survival elements require managing hunger, rest and resources for strategic gameplay.
