Police just caught two men carrying fake AK-47s in Kaduna State after someone called with a tip. Officers arrested Bajo Badun from Jos, along with Magaji Abdullahi from Kano State, last Tuesday evening around 6 PM. The team found two homemade rifles marked "A/K 4y SMC" during their search. Both suspects had already told police some useful information about where they got the weapons. Investigators keep working to find everyone else involved in this illegal gun operation.
The arrests happened specifically in the Ikara area thanks to a resident who noticed something suspicious. Badun is 40 years old and from the Bam Quarters section of Jos in Plateau State. His partner Abdullahi, also 40, comes from Bargi Village, located in the Bebeji area of Kano. Law enforcement acted quickly after receiving the community tip about these dangerous weapons.
