PowerWash Simulator Ends Free Updates as Sequel Looms

FuturLab stopped making free content for PowerWash Simulator after four years of updates. The studio wants to spend all their time working on PowerWash Simulator 2 instead. Their cleaning game became hugely popular since launching during 2021. More than 17 million people have played the game through direct purchases and subscription services. The company added content based on famous characters like Shrek and SpongeBob over the years.

The final free update called Muckingham Files 6 arrived on every gaming platform recently. Players can clean two brand new locations with different washing challenges. FuturLab thanked everyone who supported their sudsy adventure from the beginning. The game helped their small team grow bigger and take on exciting new projects. They feel grateful that millions of people enjoyed spraying dirt away from virtual objects.

PowerWash Simulator 2 will launch sometime during 2025 for multiple gaming systems. The sequel promises better graphics and improved ways to clean things. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X owners will be able to play the new version. Personal computer users can also expect the washing simulator sequel. Nintendo Switch 2 might receive the game if that system launches on schedule.
