Pratiksha Rai reveals why she loves negative roles

Television performer Pratiksha Rai has explained her attraction to portraying antagonistic characters, noting these parts enable her to demonstrate multiple dimensions within one performance. The Vasudha star said villainous characters let her showcase anger, scheming behavior, emotional fragility and even comedic elements. She added that such parts frequently feature stylish appearances and elaborate wardrobe selections.

However, Rai acknowledged the risk of being limited to similar casting opportunities after accepting numerous antagonist parts. She plans to step away temporarily from such characters and pursue protagonist assignments moving forward. The actress also addressed workplace difficulties, confirming that certain senior colleagues engaged in belittling conduct. She recalled experiencing mockery and disparaging comments during one or two productions, which nearly prompted her to abandon television work entirely. Supportive colleagues helped her recognize such treatment as commonplace rather than personal and encouraged her to persist despite negative encounters.

Rai advised aspiring performers to remain resilient and committed to growth while refusing to replicate harmful treatment they may experience. Regarding potential film or streaming platform work, she expressed interest in web content but noted family reservations due to conservative values. She committed to selecting appropriate material and suggested cinema production timelines might prove challenging, given her adaptation to television's rapid workflow.
