Authorities in Mubende District have taken three individuals into custody following the death of a hotel worker whose body was discovered buried on a farm with missing body parts. Genesis Dduhimbaazi, who manages Prime Rose Hotel, faces murder allegations along with Gideon Kwehangana and Yoram Tulinawe in connection with the killing of Ibrahim Mujuni, a 35-year-old employee who had served at the establishment for over five years.
Mujuni vanished on October 10 after colleagues allegedly assaulted him over accusations that he had taken charcoal. A farmhand later directed officers to a burial site where the victim's remains were recovered, revealing that several body parts had been removed. The victim's wife reported that her husband had called her before disappearing, stating he needed to share confidential information.
Regional police spokesperson Rachael Kawala confirmed the arrests, while family members have raised concerns about possible ritual involvement due to the condition of the remains. The three suspects remain held at Mubende Central Police Station pending further investigation.
