Prince William Marks 43rd Birthday with Photo of Puppies

Kensington Palace shared a sweet photo on social media to celebrate Prince William turning 43. Princess Catherine took the picture showing her husband with their family dog Orla and three of her new puppies. The birthday message came with love from Catherine and their children George, Charlotte, and Louis, even adding a paw print emoji for the puppies. The Royal Family account also posted happy birthday wishes for the Prince of Wales. Catherine snapped the photo at Windsor earlier this month.

Orla came to the royal family from Catherine's brother James Middleton back in 2020 after their previous dog Lupo died. The cocker spaniel gave birth to four puppies during May and appears to be a loving mother. The birthday photo shows the playful puppies climbing around Prince William as he sits relaxed. He wears casual jeans and sneakers instead of his usual formal royal outfits. This informal moment comes after recent big events like Trooping the Colour and the Order of the Garter ceremony.

Catherine has been carefully choosing which public events to attend since revealing her cancer treatment earlier this year. She announced her remission in January and continues to balance her return to royal duties. On Friday she sent support messages to children's hospices, talking about families facing difficult times. Meanwhile King Charles recorded a special message for BBC's Antarctic Midwinter Broadcast to encourage climate researchers working at remote stations during their darkest season.
