Pro Tools Packs AI Speech Magic For Your Mix

Avid launched Pro Tools 2025.6 with major updates for music and video production workers. The software connects directly to Splice sample library for instant sound access. Users can drag audio clips from their timeline and have AI find matching samples automatically. The system analyzes beat patterns, musical keys, and tempo speeds to suggest compatible sounds. Free accounts offer over 2500 samples with full library access costing $12.99 monthly.

Post-production teams gained new tool connections through Cue Pro and Matchbox 2.0 integration. Cue Pro places visual feedback over video output during ADR editing sessions. Matchbox 2.0 speeds up file transfers between Pro Tools and Media Composer systems. ARA support expanded to cover Waves Sync Vx and Dreamtonics Synthesizer V programs.

The software added Speech-to-Text features that read spoken words from audio waveforms. AI models transcribe dialogue and vocal tracks through right-click menu options. Text appears alongside audio waveforms on a special Transcription Lane during editing. Users can search for specific words across all session audio files.

MIDI editing received visual improvements and new keyboard labeling options. Default Thru functionality returned after previous removal from the software. Live Mode aligns MIDI and audio tracks during recording and playback sessions. The update works on Windows 10 computers and Mac systems running macOS 13.7 or newer versions.
