PSG chase ruthless form against Seattle Sounders in Club World Cup

Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique wants his players to bring back their killer instinct from their Champions League final win over Inter Milan. The French team crushed Inter 5-0 to claim their first European crown back on May 31. They also smashed Atletico Madrid 4-0 when the Club World Cup started two weeks ago. However, PSG stumbled against Botafogo on June 20 and lost that match. The team needs to find their best form again for Monday night's crucial game.

Seattle Sounders will host PSG at Lumen Field knowing they face a tough challenge. The American team has already lost both their Club World Cup matches against Botafogo and Atletico Madrid. Seattle midfielder Obed Vargas admits his team will try their hardest against the French powerhouse. A win would give Seattle something positive from the tournament. PSG just needs a victory or tie to reach the knockout rounds.

Enrique has led PSG to four major trophies during the current season. The Spanish coach took charge at the Parc des Princes during July 2023 and has collected eight titles since arriving. He wants his team to focus on winning rather than hoping other results go their way. The 55-year-old manager believes PSG can play much better football when they control the ball properly and stay organized without it.

Other teams have also advanced to the next stage of the competition. Manchester City destroyed Al Ain 6-0 and Juventus beat Wydad Casablanca 4-1 on Sunday. Real Madrid topped their group after defeating Pachuca 3-1 from Mexico.
