PSG's Fabián Ruiz injured, joins 5 others on sidelines

Paris Saint-Germain announced on Saturday that Spain midfielder Fabián Ruiz has sustained an adductor injury and will be unavailable for the Ligue 1 match against Lille on Sunday. The injury occurred on Wednesday when Ruiz was substituted in the second half against Barcelona in Champions League action. Coach Luis Enrique now faces a depleted squad with six first-team players unavailable for selection.

The absent players include midfielder João Neves, who has a thigh problem and will miss his third consecutive league fixture. Captain Marquinhos, winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, and forwards Désiré Doué and Ousmane Dembélé remain sidelined as well. Despite their club injuries, both Neves and Kvaratskhelia received call-ups from Portugal and Georgia for international duty.

PSG entered the weekend tied with Lyon at 15 points while defending their league title. Goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier will face his former team after transferring from Lille to PSG for approximately 40 million euros during the offseason.
