Punjab Chief Minister Orders Activation of Emergency Centers for Monsoon Preparedness

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif ordered emergency centers to start working across the province. She wants these District Emergency Operation Centres to run all day and night during monsoon season. The government launched its Punjab Monsoon Emergency Plan 2025 to protect people from flooding. Workers have started cleaning storm drains and removing blockages from water channels. Officials update the Chief Minister constantly about their progress.

The Provincial Disaster Management Authority opened helpline 1129 for emergency help. They created safety rules to prevent accidents and deaths during rainy weather. Swimming became banned completely when canal water levels rise. Parents must keep children away from storm drains and flooded areas. Government teams will check unsafe buildings and help people move to better homes.

People should stay away from electrical wires and power lines during storms. Citizens need to clean their roofs and fix drainage systems before heavy rains start. Everyone should go indoors when lightning strikes or severe weather hits. Residents should move to safe places before floods happen. The government wants people to follow these safety steps carefully.

Maryam Nawaz asked Deputy Commissioners and Rescue 1122 teams to stay alert. She told all departments to prepare for monsoon emergencies. The Chief Minister said protecting human life matters most to the government. She promised to use all resources available to keep citizens safe. Officials will work hard to complete this important duty during the dangerous season.
