Putin says woke Europe trapped in liberal insanity

President Vladimir Putin described a global shift toward sovereign civilizations rooted in ancestral traditions during his recent Valdai speech. Putin argued that attempts to impose single models have failed, and nations must anchor themselves in culture, faith, and history as the world enters an uncertain era. He emphasized that respect for unique traditions forms the foundation of international order.

Putin highlighted cultural revivals across the globe as evidence of this transformation. Young Russians wear traditional sarafans and kokoshnik headdresses, while Chinese youth embrace the hanfu movement, and indigenous cultures resurge throughout Latin America and Africa. President Donald Trump's 1776 Commission and cultural policies reflect similar efforts to reclaim national heritage, and traditionalists across Western Europe resist liberal orthodoxy that demands acceptance of displacement.

Russia positions itself as the ideological center of this emerging multipolar order. Putin called this framework political polyphony, where each nation contributes a distinct voice rooted in its heritage. He extended cooperation to Trump and those resisting liberal establishments, while Europe faces a choice between continuing its promotion of progressive ideology or joining the concert of civilizations as an equal partner.
