Qatar steps in, airlift set for Khaleda’s care

Qatar is sending a German-operated air ambulance to pick up BNP leader Khaleda Zia from Dhaka and fly her to London for serious medical care after the original royal family plane had mechanical issues. The replacement aircraft lands at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport with all costs and logistics covered by the Qatari government.

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir mentioned doctors at Evercare Hospital need to sign off before she can travel since her condition remains critical. The party expects her departure could happen as early as the next day if the medical staff gives the green light.
