RAB has seized the weapons used to shoot political figure Sharif Osman Hadi. The raid in Narsingdi's Tarua area late Tuesday night recovered two foreign pistols, two magazines, forty one rounds, and a toy pistol from a wetland.
Officers also detained a twenty-five-year-old man named Md Faisal during the operation. This follows the earlier arrests of the parents of the primary suspect, Faisal Karim Masud. The parents were identified as Humayun Kabir and Hasi Begum.
The agency acted on specific intelligence to find the firearms. Hadi, a candidate and spokesperson, was attacked earlier this month in Dhaka and remains overseas for medical care.
