RAB nabs ammo, IDs near suspect’s sister’s flat

The Rapid Action Battalion seized ammunition and other items from a location connected to Faisal Karim Masud. He is the main suspect in the recent shooting of Sharif Osman Hadi. The raid targeted his sister's flat and a nearby empty area on Colonel Goli in Agargaon.

Officers found two loaded magazines, eleven bullets, and a knife there. They also took phones, tablets, identity cards, passports, and various bank cheques and books from the residence. RAB said the operation followed a review of intelligence and area surveillance footage.

That footage reportedly showed Masud and an associate named Alamgir leaving the spot on a motorcycle around eleven in the morning on the day of the attack. Later, around four in the afternoon, the two were seen with Masud's mother and nephew removing items from the vacant space. They left the area in an auto rickshaw shortly after.

Hadi, a political spokesperson and candidate, was shot last Friday in Purana Paltan and remains in critical condition after being flown to Singapore for treatment. A case was filed over the attempted murder, and the Detective Branch of the police is now handling the investigation.
