French midfielder Adrien Rabiot might join AC Milan after his former coach returned to the team. Massimiliano Allegri became Milan's new manager with a two-year contract and option for one more season. The Italian coach left Milan eleven years ago and just came back to lead the club again. Rabiot currently plays for Marseille but worked under Allegri at Juventus for three seasons. The French player left Turin during summer 2024 when Juventus fired Allegri.
Rabiot had a great season with Marseille under Roberto De Zerbi this year. He scored ten goals and made six assists across 31 games in all competitions. The midfielder helped Marseille qualify for the Champions League after they missed it last season. Rabiot said his teammates think he and Allegri have a father-son relationship. He talks with the coach often and respects his winning attitude.
Rabiot said he would always answer if Allegri called him about joining Milan. He mentioned that choosing Marseille was risky since they had no Champions League football at the time. The French player said playing at San Siro would be amazing because of the stadium atmosphere. Rabiot clearly wants to work with Allegri again after their successful partnership at Juventus.
