Radio star quietly quits festival he built for 12 years

Tshatha Ngobe dipped from his festival gig and refused to explain the sudden exit. The Ukhozi FM personality walked away from the Impucuzeko Maskandi Festival after spending a dozen years building the brand. He stood as a founder alongside Xolani Mcineka and Sandile Ndlanya but decided to bail on the organizing committee completely without offering real answers.

This event acts like a Maskandi World Cup for supporters trekking from Gauteng and Mpumalanga to Durban. The gathering dominates the traditional music scene because every major artist wants a slot on that stage. Losing a primary face of the operation shakes things up since the actor helped turn the show into a massive spectacle.

Ngobe kept his mouth shut regarding specific motivations for leaving the team. He simply stated that the public needed to know he had cut ties. Speculation suggests the man plans to hype up the self-titled music bash he throws in Nongoma instead. His solo project recently pulled decent crowds and mixed various genres effectively.

Neither Mcineka nor Ndlanya responded when asked for their take on the split. The remaining partners must manage massive expectations without their most famous promoter leading the charge.
