Rangpur girls edge Thakurgaon in tense U-14 final shootout

Rangpur district claimed victory in the JFA U-14 Women's Youth Development Program championship after defeating Thakurgaon district through a penalty shootout at Muktijoddha Smriti Stadium in Rajshahi on Thursday. The teams battled to a 3-2 result during the decisive tiebreaker following a deadlocked regular match. Ananna put Rangpur ahead during the 15th minute of play before Runa Akhtar leveled the score for Thakurgaon at the 30-minute mark. Both sides fought through the remainder of regulation time without breaking the 1-1 stalemate that forced the penalty competition.
