Razer expanded its 4000 Hz HyperPolling wireless technology to three additional BlackWidow keyboards after initially launching the feature on the BlackWidow V4 Pro 75 percent model. The company announced on Wednesday that the BlackWidow V4 Tenkeyless HyperSpeed, BlackWidow V4 Low-Profile HyperSpeed, and BlackWidow V4 Low-Profile Tenkeyless HyperSpeed keyboards will support the high-speed wireless connectivity.
The technology transmits data four times faster than standard 1000 Hz wireless polling rates, reducing input latency from 1 millisecond to 0.25 milliseconds for competitive gaming applications. Traditional wireless connections typically max out at 1000 Hz, while higher polling rates previously required wired connections.
Existing keyboard owners can access the upgrade through firmware updates via Razer Synapse 4 software paired with the HyperPolling Wireless Dongle. The 8K HyperPolling dongle retails for $ 39 on the Razer store and works with multiple Razer mice and keyboards.
