Rematch Fans Fume Over Last Minute Crossplay Snub

Sloclap releases their soccer game Rematch on Thursday June 19 2025. The developer previously made Sifu and expects strong sales after 1.9 million people played the beta test. Players used PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC systems during the trial period. Early access customers already started playing three days ahead of the official release date. The studio charged extra money for people who wanted to start playing earlier.

Cross-play features will not work at launch between different gaming platforms. Sloclap announced this news one hour before early access began. Steam, PlayStation and Xbox players cannot play together at first. The company promises to add cross-play support through future updates. Developers called cross-play one of their main goals for upcoming patches.

Server problems affect many players during the early access period. Gamers report connection issues that hurt their experience. Sloclap workers are fixing these technical problems before Thursday. The company hopes to solve server troubles before the main launch happens. Players paid extra money but face these disappointing technical issues during their first days.
